Lake Como
Lake Como is the third largest lake in Italy. Located in Lombardy, Italy. It has an area of 146 sqaure kilometers. It is 28.58 miles long and has many cities including Como, Bellagio, Lombardy, Menaggio, Varenna, Lecco and more. Surface elevation is 650 feet.
Lake Como is abound with beautiful Italian charm and is the setting for many celebrity homes and has been used in several films; including James Bond Casino Royale. James Bond Quantum of Solace, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Oceans Twelve.
The towns of Lake Como are nestled in the mountains that surround the lake, so if you plan on traveling here be prepared to climb some hills. Very few of the streets are just flat and most of them are cobblestone. Difficult terrain to walk in heels, but I did see a few women who attempted this and did a pretty good job. Although, comfortable walking shoes would be best.
