Rome, Italy - Day 3
Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese and Trevi Fountain
A beautiful walk from our hotel to the Spanish Steps, we stopped for a refreshing dish of gelato along the way. So many flavors to choose from and oh so good!
The Spanish Steps
Continued our walk to a very nice park, where we rented Segways for the kids. They had a great time riding them around the park and we got to spend some time resting on a bench and relaxing before we headed back to the hotel.
Villa Borghese Gardens is the 2nd largest public park in Rome
The "Temple of Aesculapius" in the Villa Borghese gardens
Cooled our feet off in the pond for a little while.
Some great views of Rome from here at The Piazza di Siena in the Villa Borghese gardens.
Trevi Fountain
Legend has it that if you throw a coin with your right hand over your left shoulder as your back is turned to the fountain then you will return to Rome again one day.
Apparently we didn't get the legend right before we did this, if you notice none of us did the right thing.
Trevi Fountain all light up at night, Gorgeous!
