we stopped at Meersburg a very old town on the lake.

Germany is so beautiful with all of the window boxes of flowers on almost every home and business you see.

We got ice cream cones from a a little ice cream shop along the cobblestone streets.

Bodensee is a beautiful lake.

 

We arrive in Schwangau near Fussen ( Bavaria) in early evening.

We stayed at Beim Schelle while we were there, it is another Pension.  Very nice place to stay, they offer a very reasonable rate, breakfast is included and the owners were very friendly

It was supper time, and we were starving.

We walked to this restaurant, which was just down the street from our Pension.

  The food was very good and we had a view of the lake while we ate.

After supper we enjoyed hanging out with our friends and having a few drinks.

In the morning we would visit Neuschwansteins Castle.

Walk up the mountain to get to the castle.  It is a pretty good walk, takes about 40-45 minutes to get there.

Riding in the gondola (ski lift) to the top of the mountain.  While we were in there there was a group of guys in there that were getting ready to parasail of the top of the mountain.  They asked if any of us would be interested in doing it too.  Shawn jumped at the chance.  It looked like fun, but then I found out you have to run and actually jump off the mountain and I wasn't sure I could do it.  I wish I had though, who knows if I will get that chance again.
